Tennis
Tennis, as a sport, was first inducted in the 1896 Olympics. Since then, it has been a regular feature of the Games with various modifications and events added over a course of time.

Hockey was first inducted in the 1904 London Olympics and, after a temporary omission in 1924, was reinstated in the 1928 Games. The major teams to have tasted gold medal success are Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Netherlands and India.
The first women's Olympic hockey competition was held at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow. Olympic field hockey games were first played on artificial turf at the 1976 Montreal Games.

Judo is an oriental sport that was inducted in the 1940 Olympics as an innovative experiment. After a string of debates hovering around the inclusion of Judo as a competitive sport, it was initially introduced as one in 1964.
Originally included as a singular sport, Judo now has more than 5 sub-disciples each of which has a separate competition. Japan is the most dominant participant having won more gold medals that any of its contemporaries.
